Responsibilities
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload temperature-controlled shipments onto and off trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing stock against packing lists to ensure accuracy.
- Cold Chain Integrity: Monitor and maintain proper storage temperatures to ensure product quality and safety.
- Stock Organization: Organize stock in designated areas, ensuring FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures are strictly followed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic daily inspections on warehouse equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods in cold environments.
- Work Schedule: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not mandatory (training provided).
- Driver's License: Valid Class C driver's license required for some warehouse driving tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain precise inventory records.
