Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight: Safely move goods in and out of the warehouse using pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages.
- Temperature Control Compliance: Monitor storage areas to ensure they remain within the required temperature ranges for sensitive products.
- Safety Maintenance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and logs regarding stock levels and quality checks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and perform basic maintenance on warehouse machinery under supervision.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always required for entry-level roles.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in cold environments.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and willing to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and checking quality.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Valid Driver’s License: Proof of a valid driver's license may be required for driving duties.
