Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move inventory.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock counts and organize products within the temperature-controlled storage units to ensure optimal space utilization.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment for all employees.
- Cold Chain Integrity: Monitor storage conditions to ensure products are kept within the required temperature ranges to prevent spoilage.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free workspace at all times to meet health and safety standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage environments is a strong plus.
- Licensure: Valid Forklift Certification required (training available for qualified candidates).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in environments ranging from 30°F to -10°F.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy for scanning and logging inventory; strong attention to detail.
- Attitude: Must be safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
