Job Summary
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations by ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure equipment is in safe working order.
- Stock and organize inventory on shelves and pallets to maintain an organized warehouse layout.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments and update inventory records accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping targets.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as palletizing and shrink-wrapping as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid Forklift Operator License (certification required or willing to obtain within 30 days).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and understand labels and inventory tags.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including overtime and weekends as required.
