As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly. You will be responsible for the safe loading, unloading, and moving of products, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and stack merchandise.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count and verify incoming and outgoing stock using scanners and inventory systems.
- Packaging & Shipping: Prepare products for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling according to company standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the warehouse floor and storage aisles.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- License: Valid Driver's License (Class B or CDL preferred but not always required depending on the specific role).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and walk on uneven surfaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety protocols.
- Communication: Ability to read and understand work orders and communicate effectively with team members.
