Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move products throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and maintaining organized stock areas.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including conducting daily pre-shift equipment inspections and reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision and speed to meet customer deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and digital records of inventory movements and operational activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (reach truck, sit-down forklift, or clamp) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and order picking.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and adapt to changing priorities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
