Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (including sit-down and stand-up models), pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count and record inventory using handheld scanners and WMS systems to ensure stock levels match records.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage orders according to shipping schedules and customer requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to identify any mechanical issues and report them immediately to management.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and resolve any logistical challenges.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain proper storage layouts and ensure that products are stored according to safety and accessibility standards.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (CFL, RFOT, or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and order picking to minimize errors.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen as part of the hiring process.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand safety logs and communicate effectively with the team.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
