Job Summary
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks (including Reach Trucks and Sit-Down Counterbalance) safely and efficiently to move pallets and merchandise.
- Load, unload, and stage materials for shipping and receiving, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to identify any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, organizing, and removing debris from the warehouse floor.
- Verify inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and reconciling stock with warehouse management systems.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, reporting any unsafe conditions immediately to supervision.
- Collaborate with the shipping and receiving team to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (OSHA 10-hour or equivalent certification required).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in varying temperature conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Valid driver's license (Class C or higher) is a plus but not mandatory.
