Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down forklift, reach truck, pallet jack) to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by checking stock and ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections on all equipment to ensure mechanical safety and functionality.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse to maximize space efficiency and streamline workflow processes.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse managers regarding stock levels and potential operational issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred) and ability to provide proof of training.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
