Responsibilities
- Safe Equipment Operation: Safely operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move, stack, and organize inventory in the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, label, and record stock movements using warehouse management systems.
- Load & Unload: Efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing freight, ensuring proper securing and placement.
- Maintenance & Inspection: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by promptly removing debris and hazards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and standard operating procedures at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred) and current license.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong skills in inventory accuracy and quality control.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
