Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts (Reach Truck, Counterbalance) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently, adhering to shipping and receiving schedules.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management software to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Assist in the physical movement of stock and pallets as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff regarding daily priorities.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 or equivalent) required.
- License: Valid Driver’s License (Class C) is a plus.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and climb ladders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety protocols and inventory accuracy.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with handheld scanners or computer terminals.
- Availability: Must be available to work overtime during peak seasons.
