Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials and products throughout the facility.
- Load and Unload Freight: Accurately load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo security.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the receiving, stocking, and organizing of inventory, utilizing RF scanners and inventory management systems as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, conducting daily pre-shift equipment inspections and reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
- Stock Rotation: Monitor stock levels and ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures are followed to minimize waste and spoilage.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets and operational goals.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify product accuracy and maintain organized workspaces.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with RF scanning technology and warehouse management systems is a plus.
