Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move materials and products within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory counts, cycle counts, and ensure accurate stock placement in the appropriate storage locations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure machinery is in good working order.
- Picking and Packing: Fulfill customer orders accurately by picking, packing, and labeling products according to shipping guidelines.
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secured properly and damage is minimized.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage aisles.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts is preferred but not required if you have a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Certification: Possession of a valid Forklift Operator Certification is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read labels, follow pick tickets, and maintain high accuracy standards.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- License: A valid driver's license is preferred.
