Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the facility.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and functionality before operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning pallets and logging stock movements into the warehouse management system.
- Ensure strict compliance with all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling.
- Organize and stack pallets in designated storage areas to optimize warehouse space and flow.
- Collaborate with team leads to meet daily production and shipping targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or damaged inventory immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (required for this role).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and comprehend work orders.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse scanning equipment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
