Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through daily stock checks and proper documentation.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure all safety mechanisms and equipment are in proper working order.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company operational procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with team leads and warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and workflow efficiency.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (CDL preferred but not always required).
- Previous experience operating heavy industrial equipment in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory data.
