Responsibilities
- Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Accurately manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanning devices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team leads and other warehouse staff to meet daily productivity targets and shipping deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to management for resolution.
- Ensure proper tagging and labeling of all incoming and outgoing freight.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods on concrete surfaces.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, forklift handling procedures, and warehouse logistics.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with flexibility for occasional overtime shifts.
- Basic computer literacy for using inventory scanning tools and logging data.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
