Responsibilities
- Operate electric and internal combustion forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inspect forklifts for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance checks before and after shifts.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by counting items and checking for damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors regarding inventory status and logistical needs.
- Stack and store products in designated areas to optimize space and ensure easy retrieval.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (OSHA preferred) with a valid license.
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and record-keeping.
