Responsibilities
- Operate electric and internal combustion forklifts to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and proper maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and logging stock movements into the warehouse management system.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to organize stock, stack pallets securely, and optimize warehouse layout for efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of shipments, including labeling, wrapping, and staging orders for delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
