Responsibilities
- Operate high-reach and stand-up forklifts to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and railcars, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections to verify functionality and ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in strict accordance with OSHA standards.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock organization, and cycle counting procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, warehouse regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and supervisors regarding inventory status and operational needs.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (CLP/CFP) required; training available for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Strong understanding of basic safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and material handling best practices.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to operate handheld scanners or warehouse management systems.
