Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport products safely within the warehouse and to delivery vehicles.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and logging stock movements into the warehouse management system.
- Ensure the warehouse floor is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards at all times.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to meet daily shipping and receiving quotas efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding heavy machinery operation.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (required).
- Previous experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts (e.g., Toyota, Raymond, Hyster).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory software (preferred).
- Commitment to safety and a clean work environment.
