Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move palletized inventory safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload freight trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo security.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to scan, track, and verify inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work area, strictly adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with team leads to ensure daily production quotas and shipping deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and hazardous material handling.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to use handheld scanners.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
