Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy machinery, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently, ensuring cargo security and proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and inventory counts using warehouse management systems.
- Inspect equipment for safety issues and report any maintenance needs immediately to management.
- Follow all OSHA safety protocols and company regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a forklift (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order picking.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
