Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Inspect forklifts for mechanical issues and perform daily pre-shift safety checks to ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
- Organize, stack, and secure pallets in compliance with warehouse safety codes and company inventory systems.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including scanning and logging inventory.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient workflow management.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- License: Valid Driver's License (Class B preferred).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, reach overhead, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic computer literacy for inventory scanning.
