Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently in a high-volume warehouse setting.
- Load and unload freight trucks, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to the staging area.
- Perform routine safety inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA safety protocols.
- Verify inventory counts and accurately document stock movements using warehouse management systems.
- Collaborate with team leads to ensure production targets and shipping schedules are met.
- Follow all company policies regarding proper lifting techniques and equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current OSHA Forklift Operator Certification (Train the Trainer or certification card required).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards and material handling equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Documents: Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
