Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment to ensure mechanical functionality and safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in strict accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, stock organization, and cycle counts as directed by management.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling hazardous materials and heavy loads.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (valid certification required).
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehousing or logistics setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory and timesheets.
- Valid Driver's License (preferred but not always required).
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
