Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (including Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, and Clamps) to move, locate, and stack merchandise.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and safety checks to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, verifying inventory accuracy against shipping and receiving documents.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all 5S safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
- Report any mechanical issues with equipment or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator with valid OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating powered industrial trucks in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating procedures, and other written instructions.
- Strong physical stamina; ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent vision and depth perception with the ability to distinguish colors (for safety markings).
- Basic computer skills for inventory scanning and logging.
