Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure all safety mechanisms and hydraulic systems are functioning correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to prevent accidents and ensure efficiency.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counting and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with the warehouse team to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Document daily operational logs and report any equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
