Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Properly load, unload, and stack materials onto pallets, skids, or shelves to ensure inventory accuracy and safety.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counting and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels and documentation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and minor maintenance on forklifts and warehouse machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Material Organization: Keep the warehouse aisles clear and organized to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Certification: Must possess a current, valid Forklift Operator License or certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform heavy manual labor.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain a high level of accuracy regarding inventory and safety checks.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff.
