Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (reach trucks, pallet jacks) to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklifts for safety issues before and after each shift and perform routine maintenance checks.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment to ensure 100% order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all 5S warehouse standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse management regarding inventory levels and operational needs.
- Assist in the receiving and shipping of goods, verifying quantities and identifying damages.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Certification: Must possess a current and valid forklift operator license (CDL not required).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery or forklifts in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to count, sort, and organize inventory with high precision.
- Driver’s License: Valid state-issued driver’s license is required.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic for inventory counting and verification.
- Team Player: Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a diverse team.
