Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Manage the loading and unloading of shipping containers and trucks with precision and care.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock levels are organized.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workspace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift License: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (we can train if no experience).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety protocols.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a history of consistent attendance.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for inventory tracking.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is preferred for yard duties.
