Responsibilities
- Load and unload trailers, pallets, and containers safely and efficiently using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inspect forklift equipment for defects before use and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated storage areas to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Perform daily inventory counts and reconcile stock discrepancies with the warehouse management system.
- Keep workstations, aisles, and dock areas clean, orderly, and free of debris.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipment status and inventory needs.
Qualifications
- Willingness to Learn: No prior forklift experience is required; we are looking for candidates eager to be trained.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to operate forklifts.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety checks.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime if necessary.
