Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. You will act as the bridge between upper management and floor staff, ensuring that all operational goals are met while maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping orders.
- Implement and enforce strict safety policies and OSHA compliance standards to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Train, coach, and mentor team members to improve performance, productivity, and morale.
- Analyze operational data and workflow processes to identify areas for efficiency improvement.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules, including forklifts and material handling machinery.
- Collaborate with the sales and logistics teams to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage conflict effectively.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Manhattan, or similar software.
- Valid forklift certification and ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
