Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload shipments onto and off of trucks, pallets, and racks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count and verify incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring inventory records are up-to-date.
- Material Handling: Organize, stack, and store materials in designated areas to maximize efficiency and prevent damage.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, wear appropriate PPE, and perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Operational Support: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment to minimize hazards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of movements and handle paperwork (e.g., bills of lading) as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (CFL or equivalent) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
