Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move, stack, and locate merchandise within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured and free of damage.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections and maintenance checks on all machinery to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and digital documentation systems.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and resolve logistical bottlenecks.
- Keep the work area organized and clean to prevent accidents and hazards.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret shipping manifests.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
