Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including sit-down forklifts and reach trucks, to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of cargo and adherence to weight limits.
- Perform daily inventory counts and stock checks to maintain accurate records.
- Inspect equipment for safety issues and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and shipments.
- Follow all safety protocols and operating procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
