Responsibilities
- Safely operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts, Pallet Jacks) to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and report any malfunctions to management.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock rotation to prevent spoilage or obsolescence.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, including wearing required PPE and following proper lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with team leads to ensure timely fulfillment of daily shipping and receiving quotas.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (CFOT) license is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and comprehend shipping manifests.
- Valid New York State driver's license (if driving a company vehicle).
