Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to shipping/delivery vehicles.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting cycle counts and reconciling stock levels.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily for safety issues and report any mechanical problems to maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Package and prepare goods for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (OSHA 10 or equivalent) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery or forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory data.
