Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials safely and efficiently.
- Conduct thorough daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Ensure strict compliance with all OSHA safety regulations and company material handling policies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and organizing storage areas to optimize warehouse flow.
- Collaborate with the morning shift team to ensure a seamless handover of duties and accurate inventory reconciliation.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and basic equipment upkeep.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) required; proof of training must be provided.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (typically 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM) with a strong attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Basic computer literacy for operating inventory scanning systems (RF guns).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
