Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to load and unload shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to 5S standards and OSHA regulations.
- Perform daily pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and log any maintenance issues immediately.
- Manage inventory control by scanning barcodes and accurately updating warehouse management systems.
- Collaborate with team leads to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and resolve any discrepancies.
- Follow all company safety protocols and participate in monthly safety training sessions.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator (OSHA) with a valid license to operate Class 1 (Counterbalance) and Class 4 (VNA) forklifts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience in a fast-paced warehousing or logistics environment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and weekends as required.
- Physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven surfaces.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and comprehend technical safety manuals and operating procedures.
