Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials.
- Load and Unload: Efficiently load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by scanning barcodes, tagging items, and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, including wearing required PPE and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping with speed and accuracy.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: Previous forklift experience is a plus, but not mandatory; we provide training.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to operate forklifts.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and completing paperwork.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work a consistent schedule, including weekends or overtime if needed.
- Background Check: Must pass a standard background check and drug screening.
