Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks) to move, locate, and stack merchandise.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Accurately load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counting and inventory accuracy checks by tagging and organizing stock.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to 5S standards and keeping aisles clear.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required PPE and reporting any safety hazards immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs, checklists, and paperwork related to shipments and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We welcome candidates with no prior forklift experience who are willing to undergo our paid training program.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and operating heavy machinery.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for inventory counting and ticket verification.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
