Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move palletized inventory using sit-down and reach forklifts according to safety protocols.
- Inventory Accuracy: Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate records of stock movements using warehouse management software.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by stacking materials neatly and ensuring aisles are clear.
- Shipping & Receiving: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: Must be willing to undergo paid training for forklift certification.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform heavy physical labor.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License required; must have a clean driving record.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
