Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move materials within the warehouse.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks, ensuring accuracy and safety protocols are followed.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock movements using warehouse management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, wear proper PPE, and identify potential hazards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or damages immediately to management.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently to ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- License: Valid driver's license is preferred but not required for the operator role.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to Learn: Must be eager to receive on-the-job training and obtain forklift certification.
- Communication: Basic ability to read, write, and speak English for safety instructions and communication.
