Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse facility.
- Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections to ensure safety compliance and equipment functionality.
- Verify inventory accuracy by scanning barcodes and ensuring stock matches shipment manifests.
- Stack and organize pallets safely and efficiently to optimize warehouse space.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Assist in general warehouse duties including packaging, labeling, and order picking as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and logistics coordinators regarding inventory discrepancies or equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus but not required.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and accident prevention.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
