Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the facility.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count and record stock levels, ensuring inventory accuracy and proper stock rotation using WMS systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and minor maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure operational readiness.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse organized and clean, ensuring proper labeling and storage of materials to optimize workflow.
- Shift Support: Assist in fulfilling daily shipping and receiving targets, including packing orders and managing shipping dock operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current OSHA forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain precise inventory records.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed.
- Communication: Basic English proficiency and ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
