Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the accurate counting and recording of inventory stock, ensuring data integrity in the warehouse management system.
- Order Fulfillment: Prepare pallets for shipping and ensure orders are packaged correctly and efficiently for distribution.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any mechanical issues or damages immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area to prevent accidents and improve workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify product counts and ensure accurate shipping documentation.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to interact with supervisors and team members effectively.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable with a strong track record of attendance.
