Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility and loading docks.
- Inventory Accuracy: Utilize warehouse management systems to accurately count, tag, and organize stock.
- Equipment Care: Conduct daily pre-shift safety inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Order Fulfillment: Prepare pallets and packages for shipment, ensuring they are securely strapped and labeled.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work area at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and logistics coordinators to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift certification (OSHA) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating Class I forklifts.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended shifts.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow safety protocols and inventory tracking procedures.
- Documentation: Ability to read and interpret safety labels and operational instructions.
