Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move, load, and unload materials.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient warehouse flow.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Load Preparation: Properly label, secure, and prepare freight for shipment to ensure it arrives at its destination in perfect condition.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to management.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: A willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are the only prerequisites.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and load securing.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
