Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack inventory on pallets, shelves, or racks to ensure efficient storage and easy access.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Assist in inventory counting, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, including sweep and organize the dock area.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification: Must hold a current, government-issued forklift license (CDL or Class A/B).
- Entry-Level Friendly: No prior experience required; we provide on-the-job training for qualified candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50-75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and cargo placement.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand safety labels and communicate effectively with supervisors.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and committed to a regular work schedule.
