Job Summary:
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our daily operations by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in compliance with all safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight from trailers and trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock is organized and easily accessible.
- Follow strict safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries in the warehouse.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory status and operational needs.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including sweeping and organizing.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (Class A or B) is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and stock management.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
